Not for Scuba Diving

I was excited to order this scuba mask with GoPro-mount - it just looks like a really great idea.It looks like you can take hands-free video of whatever you are looking at, without having to worry about the camera.It turns out there are just a few problems with this product: - once you wear the mask (either on the boat or during the dive) there is no way to look or confirm that the camera is actually recording- if you are scuba diving, the regulator is right under the camera and when you exhale the air bubbles stick to the front of the GoPro lens, making the video unusable.In my case, I also had a filter in front of the GoPro lens, which worsened the problem - the air bubbles were sticking in between the filter and the lens, and also in front of the filter.I think this mask is probably a good buy if you do free-diving, where there are no bubbles from exhaling -- otherwise I would not recommend this product.I definitely prefer to have the GoPro mounted on a monopod - it is much easier to check if the camera is working properly, and also much easier to point it at interesting things.

Good Mask

This is a good mask for scuba diving. BUT - for use with a GoPro, what I don't like is that the bubbles from your regulator go up right in front of your face, so if you are recording video, there are a lot of bubbles in the footage. Also, you cannot tell if the GoPro is on since it's on top of your head. I was using the GoPro for the first time and wasn't familiar with what all the beeps meant, and sometimes couldn't hear the beeps, so often I thought I was recording when I wasn't and vice versa. Unless a friend could tell me the camera was on, I didn't know.

excellent addition to GoPro accessories family

I bought the mask for my recent diving trip and my first experience with GoPro. I had no problem with a mask, and I had no problem attaching GoPro to it. I have some issues with the camera but the mask was fine.
