A good quality and attractive GoPro handle - an excellent alternative to "The Bobber"

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1Z55NPT6GTBN5 *This video was originally posted on my GoPronaut YouTube channel.I decided to try this handle out based on all the positive feedback I have seen about SP Gadgets' POV cases in the GoPro community.Inside the package, is the POV Buoy Floating Camera Handle, a thick, adjustable wrist strap/lanyard and a carabiner. The handle comes with the standard GoPro mount and long thumbscrew for attaching. While weighing almost nothing (~2oz), the handle feels tough and high quality. The black grip material is similar to that of what you would find in interlocking gym floor mats, and is pleasant and comfortable to hold.The wrist strap allows you to tether the GoPro to your arm, the lock fits snugly around the lanyard - giving you the confidence that it will not slip off your arm if properly secured.Unlike other handles, this one is built to float. Even with the addition of the battery or LCD BacPac, this thing floats like a champ - sticking out about 1.5 inches from the surface. The orange tip of the handle makes it easy to spot from a distance.Overall, I am very satisfied with SP Gadgets POV Buoy floating handle. If you're looking for a floating handle, or an alternative to "The Bobber" - I highly recommend this product!

Spent 2 weeks diving with it. Met my expectations as it relates to the good handling, the fitting into the BCD pocket and buoyancy. As it relates to this last point, I would note that in my experience the GoPro ended up being neutrally buoyant, not with a positive buoyancy as indicated in another review.

I bought this for my vacation to Cancun because I thought it would be the most versatile GoPro accessory to have and I didn't want to buy all of those extra accessories that GoPro sells. It makes the camera a lot easier to hold and it floats so I didn't have to worry about losing it in the water. The adjustable wrist strap allowed me to attach it to my wrist and just let it hang there when I wasn't using it. The black part is a soft yet sturdy foam and the bright orange part is hard plastic. The orange part is small enough so that it's not overpowering, but big enough so that you could easily spot it if you drop it in the ocean. That way, it still looks attractive even if you use it on land because I was not about to buy that ugly bright yellow handle that GoPole sells (they are the same price by the way, both 30 bucks). I went in the ocean, swam in the pool, went ziplining, cliff jumping, and even snorkeling, and it held up great. Everyone on vacation with me enjoyed tossing it around in the water and using it. I can't imagine not having it with me because I probably would have lost my camera without it. If you were to invest in just one good GoPro accessory, I would highly recommend this one!

Our, patent pending, C-4 Optic Universal Adapter was created to make using the Phone Skope even more simple! Fastest card I have, super compatible, works even with adapters, see testsPERFORMANCE: This 633X card is rated at 95MB/sec read speed, class 10. And it pretty much delivers on that promise, Using CrystalDiskMark 3 and the supplied USB3 adapter I measured 85 MB/sec. Lexar does admit that "write speeds will be lower", and indeed they were at 41 MB/sec. For comparison a Sandisk Ultra class 10 card I have SanDisk Ultra 16 GB MicroSDHC Class 10 UHS-1 Memory Card with Adapter (SDSDQU-016G-AFFP-A) tested 44MB read and 11MB write in that same USB3 adapter. The Lexar was about twice as fast as Sandisk Ultra. Note that both cards drop dramatically in speed when used in a USB2 adapter. When used in a USB2 reader they were both very similar at 10MB/sec write and 17MB/sec read speeds. So it may be device that you will be using it in that will be the limiting factor rather than the brand of card. Certainly once you record a huge video file on this card, I would use the supplied USB3 adapter to transfer it to the computer, as you may save over three minutes in download time alone.COMPATIBILITY: I used the card in a GoPro 3+ Silver at 1080p 60 fps without any glitches or problems. No errors, no freeze ups. Since I also had a SD card adapter I inserted the Lexar into it, and the whole setup went inside a Fuji XP camera. (see photo) I was not sure it would work, but it did just fine. So with this one micro SDHC card, you can use it in phones, video devices and older cameras that use full size SD cards as well.BONUS: The supplied micro SD USB3 reader works perfectly with other micro cards such as the Sandisk Ultra class 10 card, more than doubling its read to computer speed, and also with an older Kingston class 4 micro SDHC card, also increasing its read to computer speed by 50%.

Face it, a lot of those companies out there promise they have what you need, only to find, you've now bought a expensive paper weight. I have two GO-PROs 3+ and I'm heading to Europe on vacation. when I looked at shrinking my packing list, it was a no-brainer to look for large storage so not to carry big heavy laptops for downloading. But, when I looked at the read/write speeds of those new 120 gig Micro disks, they transfer speeds left me worried. I need a minimum of 30 MB/s to record on a GO-PRO. So.. seeing none of the new larger disks could offer the speed needed to record on my GO-PROs. I took the safer route and bought the Lexar 64GB w/ transfer speeds multiple times faster than that what my GO-PROs require and a lot faster than the speeds offered by those large 128 disks. And, if your looking at taking advantage of the new 4K recording capabilities of the GO-PRO. you'll need a really fast transfer speed. So.. why buy this disk... it's simple math.

Works great with Hero 3+ . USB 3.0 adapter is sweet. Make sure you have a USB 3.0 port on your motherboard. Or a USB 3.0 port on your computer case that has USB 3.0 cable to your motherboards USB 3.0 port. No bottlenecks!I got a Amazon basic USB 3.0 extension cable to go with it. Im happy with my transfer speeds and the performance of this card.Remember to leave contact information in the form of a .txt file on your memory card in case it is lost so someone can return it to you.

Easy on and off, Great underwater video...

... As long as you're not near the surface. Above 10-15ft and it causes everything to wash out red (no surprise really). Easily snaps on and off, even while underwater. Clips on securely, I don't think it could ever come off by accident. It comes in a nice little bag to protect against scratches.

Nice "clip-on" design, but allows water droplets to form on the lens

The clip-on design makes it really easy to put the red filter on and off even in the water, which is convenient if you are taking continuous video/pictures before and after you dive. The filter comes with a string so that you can tether it to the GoPro. The filter appears to be well made and clips on the GoPro lens frame perfectly. The filter works as expected. I compared the shots I took with and without the filter, and the filter definitely brings back lost colors.The downside with the design is that when droplets of water get into the inside part of the filter, it tends to stay there and can ruin your shots. It happens when you attach the filter to the GoPro while underwater. Although you can get rid of the droplets on the outside part of the filter, the inside part that is between the GoPro lens and filter is sealed and the droplets tend to stick. I didn't notice the problem until I uploaded the photos/videos on my computer. I believe that this can be mediated by simply checking for any droplets of water on the camera filter before recording, or by keeping the inside of the filter dry and attaching it to the GoPro before going down the water (this also implies keeping it attached while underwater).Aside from that, I feel that the price is also little too expensive.Overall, I think it is a great product and I plan to use it in subsequent dives.

I attached this right to the side of my camera housing and snapped it on easily while underwater. This was the best priced filter too- good product for the money~!

Average at best

I wouldn't consider this to be a terrible product, but surely it's not a high-quality one. It's benefits are that it's rather light-weight and compact but is extendable. However, there are quite a bit of negatives to it. It's obvious whenever you have the pole in your hand that it's not made of very durable materials. When the GoPro is mounted and the pole is extended, the pole bends downwards noticeably. The mounting mechanism which allows you to turn the camera tends to loosen as well. And this is definitely NOT intended for use in water; after using it in water for a day, it began to rust.Although I was able to get some good footage with the use of this pole, I really believe it's more of a nuisance to use and the quality of the pole overall isn't exactly satisfying. I'd recommend spending a little more money to get a pole of high-quality that will last you.

This is a sturdy, yet lightweight tool that will help you get great Go-Pro shots from the side (skiing, biking, hiking, etc), from below (running feet, skateboarding, sailing, etc), and from above (shots over the side of a building or cliff, or looking down on you performing an activity. It's small enough when collapsed to fit in a back pocket, or small case, and extends out to almost 3 feet away. The grip is comfortable, and easy to hold, and when extended, does not accidently slide back or further out for unplanned distance. I'm very happy with this product!

1. The extension cylinders rotate. Meaning that when I used with my gopro while snowboarding, the weight of the gopro caused it to swivel and no longer be upright. It's hard to explain, but it pretty much doesn't work if you're moving around. The gopro will slide upside down.2. Upon first using it, it broke. I extended the pole and pulled it in half on accident. I wasn't using excessive pressure. It just broke when I tried to extend it. Now I always have to pay attention to which cylinders are sliding out so that i don't pull it out again (it's hard to put back in).Don't buy this product. It is worthless.

I use these flat mounts on everything I can including my license plates. They work great no failures in over two years of use.

As expected, these are just like the ones that come with the Gopro when first purchased. They use 3M tape, and I know that 3M is the industry leader in adhesion. Anyways, I used these on my Suzuki V-Strom Happy Trail Panniers for multiple view angles while traveling the local Fire roads. Even when things get really rough (including dropping the bike) I've never had any of these mounts budge.

Got a pack of these for a trip I took to the Dunes in Oklahoma, and they worked great. I did lose have two of them come unstuck from two different helmets, but in both cases it was because that helmet was involved in a wreck. If you have a Go Pro got some of these.

A must have accessory for shooting indoors, in car, and not taking camera out when connecting it to USB. We were able to use the setup to record in-car video with driver and passenger talking to the camera.Pros-Lets you keep the camera in the case - no opportunity for fingerprints on lens-Quick connect of cables and popping out SD card-Mic is open so is much more sensitive to audio around the camera.-Good fit and works as a replacement even if display back is attached.Cons-Not water proof - Duh!80% of the time the GoPro sits in this case. The other 20 its in the water proof one.

90% of the time, my GoPro Hero 2 rests it's feet inside this case. I mainly bought this case to allow access to the USB Charging slot while it's mounted to my windshield and connected to my cigarette socket for full time powering. One of the greatest features of this case is the ability to record clearer audio with the built in microphone. No longer will you hear that awful plastic chunky-chingy-thunking sound that the underwater cases are prone to causing. The case is solid, is opened on both left and right sides and has all button functions that the OEM case has. Definitely recommend this to any looking to access GoPro's USB, Audio, Video and SD slots without having to remove it from it's casing every time. Just remember that this case isn't full protective so don't use it in any areas that would ruin your camera: Water, Mud, dirt, etc.

This is what you need to protect the camera lens while on the desk downloading videos ect due to the exposed lens just waiting to be scratched.It may be used in dry/protected areas but for rain or dirt you need the dry OEM case.I am using this case also as a test unit to add a 37 mm step up ring [to 52mm] so that I can add filters [ cpl/uvA] It seems that the lens outside dimension is 37 mm so even though the lens is not threaded it should be possible to lightly file out the 37 mm ring to fit flush on the case and be carefully glued down.Then a 52 mm filter should fit.It needs 7 mm's to clear the protruding lens.It may take a second 37 mm ring to get the clearance[ Installed first].A cheap 37mm uva with the glass removed should work.Good luck.Just a follow up, this worked well,no filing was necessary it fit on the front ring and raised the ring up to the proper height.Now I am currently upgrading the Original dry case to accept the 52mm filters.No vignetting on the corners. Pro should add a thread ring to the lens to allow filters.Seems doable to me.
