5Great mount for GoPro
By E. Johnson
Bought this because I was looking for a mount for scuba diving that wouldn't be attached to my head or hand. I attached this to a retractable clip with a zip tie, and the clip is attached to my BC. This works great for me. I just pull the camera out and film what I want, then I can let it retract and hang until I need it again. The grip is nice and beefy, it's solid in my hand, even with 7mm gloves on. The only thing I would do to improve it is if the camera could move in other directions (more like a tripod). I like that you can set the angle forward or backward, but it'd be nice if I could hold it lengthwise while keeping the camera upright. But overall it's been exactly what I needed.

3Nice But Not So Tough
By M. Hilario
I bought a Grenade Grip and it snapped in two where the blue plastic meets the black rubber grip. However, it works well and looks good and will not break under normal use. It is very light and footage will often still be shakey unless you brace your gripping hand with your other hand like holding a handgun.I thought the entire handle was constructed of the blue plastic in one piece with the rubber grip slipped over it, but in fact there is a hollow clear plastic core which is pretty brittle and the blue plastic mount and the black rubber handle are both sleeved over it. I have since re-bonded the clear plastic where it snapped with epoxy and it's holding well. I just make sure I always use a quality lanyard. I broke it because I tossed it into my dive gear bag and the airport ground staff probably dropped/ tossed the bag and something heavy in the bag landed on it. I give it 3 stars because I expect more robust construction for the price. So, bottom line is it is not as sturdy as it appears but works well with a solid, comfy grip. Just pack it with your camera gear. Also, if you dive with it water will get trapped in the hollow core and is somewhat difficult to get out of the tiny hole on the bottom of the rubber grip. I made the hole larger and drilled an additional drain hole on the side of the grip near the bottom.

4Great Grip, but not really for water use
By Heather
I really love this grip, its small and compact and great for use with many different activities. I use it quite at bit for snowboarding, its a great steady grip. However, just beware that there is a itty bitty hole at the bottom of the grip that will collect water! I used this in the pool on vacation once, after the pool we walked around a bit and i noticed that the inside of my purse was wet! It was coming from the bottom of the grip. If you can deal with this then that's fine--but for me i use this grip in and out of water, and i'm glad it didn't leak on anything important. GoPole also makes a bobber grip that is perfect for water stuff, and keeps the camera afloat if you loose grip!
