By James
GoPro recommends to use this mount for snowboards, but the adhesive becomes very brittle in the cold. I took special care to apply it to a clean surface even using a hair dryer to help the adhesive bond to the board more securely and gave it about 36 hours to set. It was solid for the first half of the day, but after lunch the adhesive pad cracked off even without the camera mounted on it. I may try to epoxy the mount to my board, but I'm wary about such a permanent solution. I give it three stars because it really annoys how much it costs. On surfboards, I imagine this mount is solid and would have no problems, but I'm pretty sure you could use one of the basic mounts and some epoxy just as well. Or get the also overpriced tripod mount and install a tripod plug in your board and that way you have a more general purpose mount.

is a little expensive if you use more than one board because you can't take it off.but you can use the fcs piece forever, just need to make your boards with it.

i've been using the expansion kit for my other surfboard and it works fine. It hasn't fallen yet and it'll probably be there forever.
