A must for longer shooting

I typically mount my GoPro to a variety of devices--car, motorcycle, and paintball gun--and each time I shoot, I like not having to worry about the amount of time I can shoot. Two GoPro batteries gives you around 4 hours of recording, which coincides well with a 32GB SDHC card (shoots 4.5 hours of 720p 60fps footage). I recently used my GoPro camera, 32GB card and extra battery to film a whole day of action, and never had to shut the camera off.If you want to shoot and not worry about time, an extra battery is a must!

Broke down 7 months after purchase

I bought this battery to use as a spare since I already had the one that came with the camera. It stopped working 7 months after being purchased. I already bought another one with the new battery pack accessory, since I don't like having only one battery with any camera. I hope this one lasts longer.

Let's you shoot longer by having a 2nd battery. I ordered this as soon as I got the GoPro. I actually do a lot of extended day / weekend trips where I'm no where near electricity, so multiple batteries are a necessity. This is exactly the same as the battery that comes with the GoPro HD Hero 2.For a little bit more money you can order the Wasabi Power Battery and Charger Kit for GoPro AHDBT-001 and GoPro HD HERO, HERO2 Cameras, which comes with 2 batteries and a wall charger. I also own that and find the battery life performance on par with the GoPro brand battery, although the wasabi battery fits slightly looser (see my review on that particular product for more details).
