Camera to Kindle -- instantly and wirelessly

This thing is magic. I already owned the Kindle Fire when I received Eye-Fi for a gift. It works great for uploading photos from my DSLR to my computer wirelessly, a good convenience and time saver. But the real eye-opener (no pun intended) is uploading photos instantly and wirelessly from my DSLR to the Fire, enabling an instant check while shooting in the field away from the computer. You can check composition, color, focus, and determine whether or not to retake the shot. When you return to the computer, simply turn on the Kindle and the photos upload to the computer. All that is left is discarding the ones you don't want. The Kindle occupies a permanent place my camera bag. The only downside is photos are difficult to see in direct sunlight because of the glare on the Kindle screen. A minor drawback -- one needs to find shade or go indoors for a serious look. Of course you can do the same with an iPad or your phone. The setup is not particularly difficult, but you do need to check the right boxes -- there's plenty of help on the internet, just Google "Eye-fi Kindle".

Good Companion for Eye-Fi Users - Recommended

This app allows android devices to receive photos from Eye-Fi cards, like my Eye-Fi Connect X2 4 GB Class 6 SDHC Wireless Flash Memory Card EYE-FI-4CN. The app installed and runs fine on my HTC EVO 4G and Kindle Fire, but only one device can be set to receive images at a time. The interface is good, but it does take some playing to find all of the features.Recommended!CFH

I have been using it mainly with a GoPro Hero 2 and between instantly viewing my photos and not having to remove the case, I save a lot of time. It works with my Android devices so I can transfer directly to my Kindle Fire and smart phone while anywhere. I love it.
