4Pretty Good Harness
By Dro8
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3DQPZ5BO5VZ4N I've read a lot of bad reviews on this harness, but think it's actually pretty nice. I ordered mine from Amazon and I got it within days. The construction of this harness is just like that of any other Kurgo harness - the quality is good. The only real difference is the addition of the metal plates on the front and back for the camera mount.A lot of people complain that it doesn't come with GoPro mounts, but I guess they don't realize that there are other companies that make action cameras out there and someone might want to mount a Contour or a Sony Action Cam etc. The product doesn't specify that it's made for use with GoPro so I'm not sure why people think it'll come with GoPro mounts. Just make sure that whatever camera you use, you have extra mounts for it. I happen to have a GoPro, so I purchased some mounts for that and they worked fine on my harness. For the back mount area, I used a flat GoPro mount. I actually did see a bit of light coming through the middle of the stick-on area, when viewed from the side, so I just grabbed crescent wrench, clamped down hard on it, and it stuck on pretty well. Immediately after doing so I took my dogs out into the snow for some play time with the GoPro mounted on it's back. With my dog running around like a maniac for about 15 minutes, the back mount never came off, so it seems to have stuck on there pretty well. I used a curved GoPro mount for the front mounting point. That was a perfect contour and it stuck on like a charm. I have not affixed or tested the camera on the front mount yet.Regarding the view from the camera, a lot of people say its very shaky. To that I say, "Ya think?" If you mount a camera on a dog over it's shoulders which it uses to walk/run with - of course it's going to be shaky. It's not going to look like a steady-cam shot. If you understand that, then you'll have no problem with this. I've read other reviews that say the front mount is a lot more steady, but I have yet to try that as my wife insists she wants to see Minnie's ears flopping around while she plays. The bottom line here is that if you're looking for cinema-quality steady shots, you're not going to get them - it's a camera attached to a dog. I've attached a low quality video of the snow playtime I mentioned earlier. Of course it looks much better in HD, but this will give you an idea of what you can capture from the back mounting point. All that said, I think this harness is not bad at all. It's not "absolutely amazing" or anything like that, but as long as you understand it's limitations, you shouldn't have any problems with it. Just make sure you get an appropriate size to get it adjusted pretty snugly on your pooch, and enjoy.

1Total waste of money
By Crystal
I purchased this directly from Kurgo rather than through Amazon. It didn't ship until I emailed them, asking where it was, over a month after I ordered it!Once I got it, it was obvious that this is a very poorly designed harness. The metal plate on the back of the harness digs deeply into my dog's back or neck, depending on how you put it on, unless the harness is so loose that a camera attached to it would be shaking to kingdom come anyway. The chest mount seems reasonable enough in placement and design. The curve of the metal plate on the back, though, was baffling, as it was not compatible with either the flat GoPro adhesive mounts or the curved ones. The straps are baffling. The sizing was really strange, with the neck strap having to be tightened all the way while the chest straps had to be let out all the way for it to fit either of my dogs, a 35 lb corgi mix and a 42 lb APBT.Oh yeah, important point- You will have to purchase separately a bag of GoPro adhesive mounts for $20 in order to use this with your GoPro, as the harness just comes with the blank metal plates, no mounts. Not that big of a deal, but it does add more cost, and would have been nice to have included in the product description so I could make sure I had the mounts to use with it. And, like I said above, the metal plates are curved too much to use the flat adhesive mounts, but not enough for the curved ones. So, it doesn't actually seem that compatible with the GoPro to me.In summary: Really slow shipping. Poor customer service. Poor design. Doesn't fit dogs correctly. Doesn't come with GoPro mounts. Doesn't work with GoPro mounts you can purchase from GoPro.
