Required: Extra gopro battery

As any GoPro owner knows the battery life of the camera is one of its weak spots. You get about 2 hours maximum out of one charge. I got this before my hike down the grand canyon. I knew that the total hike time would be right around 8 hours and I would have no way to charge the battery. Using video and pictures intermittently throughout my hike I made it down with one bar left and it was about the same going back-up. If I hadn't bought this battery I wouldn't have been able to capture some of the things I did. There are some off brand Chinese batteries you can order that are cheaper, however they don't fit snugly in the GoPro and increase camera vibration. If you are ever doing something like camping that doesn't allow you to charge buy the extra battery it is well worth it. Its worth noting that this will work with both the HD HERO and HD HERO 2

Works, same as origional battery

This is the same battery that comes with the GoPro Hero 2 and not one of those cheap knock offs from China. I would rather pay the money and not worry about the battery exploding in my $300 camera. Works great! ~2.5 hours record time

Very good product for the price. Seems to be working well and lasts a long time. Got this as a back-up for my GoPro2 and it will run just a long as the original battery that came with the camera.
