This is a custom painted, black, GoPro Hero 3 housing. The housings are sprayed with their respective colors with high quality paint and then each housing is sprayed with two coats of matte clear sealant. Works with GoPro 3 and 3+ cameras.

Blackout GoPro Housing

Nicely done. No issues with housing. At the inside corners the LED lights are somewhat visible, but is easily remedied by turning off the LED's on the camera. Wish they used the standard housing that goes deeper but the housing that is used is suitable for most diving. Good product and I would recommend it.

Low pro, low detection. The custom paint jobs are perfect for transitioning from a commercial back yard application to a highly sensitive, low key type operations.Fits all my cameras and used daily. The custom paint jobs hold up and are one of the most durable coatings I've dealt with.If you want style and low key application and durability this is the one.

I've been looking for a way to keep my Hero 3 low key as opposed to the shiny clear plastic housing that it comes in. I bought all three of these that Stunt Cams sells (the desert and the woodland one as well.)I'm an avid hunter and shooter and I've tried the sticker sets as well as one of the neoprene covers. The sticker sets peel and when the corners lift, they become dirt magnets. The neoprene covers fit very sloppily and look and perform awful. I was concerned when I bought one of these that they would not look as good as the one pictured in the post. I was wrong... whoever paints these takes a lot of care to mask off the lens cover and the LCD view screen. The matt black paint is very well done and due to the lack of paint that's rubbed off (just a tiny bit after months of use in harsh conditions) it's evident that these have several good layers of sealer.I also bought one of the GoPro Hero 3 (3+) "blackout" housings. SO here is my issue. The blackout housing reflects a lot more light than this matt black housing. The lens is also a permanent part of the housing, so if you scratch it, you have to buy a new housing, unlike this one where you can change the lens cover. Further, for some reason the housing is significantly slimmer. While some might like this, the housing is a lot more flimsy and the cam lever mechanism on the top that allows you to open up the housing is completely different and so poorly designed that it's very hard to even open the case. A good idea by GoPro that unfortunately is a complete FAIL in my opinion. I'll stick with these matt black painted housings.So to sum up my review, these are extremely well done, the finish doesn't reflect light and they simply look and perform great. I would buy another one!
