Works great, very sturdy and easy to use.I've used this suction mount on my motorcycle at speeds up to 80 mph and it's held firm.IMPORTANT NOTE: Before each use make sure to wipe down the suction cup and the area you're mounting it on - Dirt and dust will effect it's ability to hold!Learn from my mistake, I was lazy, didn't clean my tank off and the suction failed... luckily for me GoPro's products are designed to take a tumble, nothing was damaged or broken. Now I always make sure my bike and my suction are clean. :)

one word! AMAZING! i've put it on more than one car, and it has held on all flat even surfaces at speeds north of 160+ MPH! i have video to prove it. not only does it hold at high speed, but also while drifting at high speed! awesome and reliable product.

By Gregory
I ordered the previous iteration of the suction cup and had it for a few days before I realized there was an updated (and better) version. It seems like the suction is much stronger on this version (could just be me), but it still only seems to work on certain ultra smooth surfaces (like (clean) metal, glass, completely flat wood (like a dining room table)). It doesn't like formica for example, though that would be something I would think it would work on. However, I believe the purpose is only stated for such things as car metal and windows, so it's not a negative issue really. Why are you sticking it on your counter-top again? JUST BE SURE to test it out first. Maybe attach the suction cup, drive around, then the suction cup plus case, then the whole set up. The addition of the extender arm is much appreciated too.
